Organisations working on women's issues from all over Nepal came together in Kathmandu on late September 2014 to mark the launch of One Billion Rising Revolution, a global campaign to end violence against women. On 14-16 November 2014, Asia Pacific civil society organisations will gather in Bangkok, Thailand to develop a collective strategy on the priority issues for the Asia Pacific region on the Beijing +20 review processes.

Central to the underlying spirit of building sustainable peace is the realization that visions of peace are rooted in specific contexts. This particular understanding has been deployed as a dominant strand within the developing discourse on Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) in the Global South.
