Nominations for the 2006 Asia Pacific Mediation Forum (APMF) Peace Prize are now open.

The prize, which carries a cash incentive of AUS$1000, is open to individuals, groups or organisations in the Asia Pacific region who are worthy of the recognition, The prize will be awarded at the Third APMF Conference in Fiji to be held on 26-30 June this year.

All nominations must include the following:

  1. name and contact details of the persons making the nomination,
  2. name and contact details of the individual, group or organisation being nominated,
  3. for individual nominees, a short curriculum vitae and a link to the nominees website,
  4. for groups or organisations, a brief description of who they are and a link to their website,
  5. a brief history of the relevant conflict management or peace initiatives of the individual or group in the Asia Pacific region (within a time frame),
  6. a clear succinct statement as to why they are worthy of a Peace Prize, and
  7. two letters of recommendation or references.
