Panos South Asia is inviting applications for a regional training workshop entitled 'Radio Reporting Using Digital Technology Training Workshop' is being organized in Kathmandu, Nepal from 25 July - 1 August, 2006. The workshop, organized under PSA's Building Communications Opportunities Programme will be conducted at the Panos South Asia Media Centre that has the state of the art facilities for the purpose. It is designed for South Asian journalists, not necessarily already working in radio, who will produce and file content for local, regional and international stations in addition to contributing southern views to the North. The course will incorporate training on radio writing, reporting, production skills, digital editing, and audio file compression and transfer techniques. Radio professionals from the PSA's global network will conduct the workshop with practical hands-on sessions.

Broadcasters, producers, editors and reporters, especially from radio media from South Asian countries wishing to attend this training workshop may apply by 30 June, 2006 by e-mail at   This email address is being protected from spambots. Your application should contain a brief resume and a less than 300 word essay stating your experience on radio and how by participating in this workshop it will enable you or your organization to enhance your work.
